Independent Parallel Approaches:

Rate of descent not less than 1300 fpm until cleared altitude (except during speed reduction).

Preferential Runways:

Outer small ones (08R/26L and 09L/27R)

Runway Leaving Procedure:

See 2.3.3 on chart 20-1P3 (basically via high speed ones)


Transponder ON / TCAS OFF until parked at stand (with ATC assigned Mode A code).

Other cases of taxiing A/C, set Mode A code 2000.


Twy E Max 20 kts


Do not enter stand unless under instruction from marshaller or guidance from visual docking guidance system. Without these, hold on the TWY/taxilane centerline ahead of the parking stand lead-in line and notify ground.


Except for duly justified safety reasons, APU use is restricted to:

Alternative means available:

5 minutes + Time required to connect to these means.

Alternative means Not available:

30 minutes


Time required to disembark all passengers, offload the cargo haul and perform all operations related to the arrival.

Stand Number:

• PIA: Y4, Z4, Z7 at Terminal 1 (If someone has experienced something else then let me know or post it in this forum)

A-CDM (Airport-Collaborative Decision Making) system and PDS (Pre-Departure Sequencing):

ED (Estimated Departure)

Target time set by airline as Off-Blocks departure time.

TOBT (Target Off-Block Time):

Its the translation of the ED by A-CDM system.

• Doors closed
• Bridge removed
• Push-back available (tug master if required)
• Ready to taxi/push-back on clearance.

TSAT (Target Start-Up Approval Time):

TSAT is Off-Block departure approved time (calculated by A-CDM system).

It is the time at which A/C has to leave the block after receiving push/start or taxi clearance.

Non compliance can lead to flight being blocked (put out of sequence).

Conditions of flight blocking are:

• Departure clearance not received at TSAT +3 min
• Not left the parking stand after TSAT +5 min
• Non compliance with procedures
• Suspended by Network Manager Operation Center (e.g. destination APT closure).

To get sequenced again, new ED (estimated departure) needs to be sent (job of airline or handling agent).


Except for duly justified safety reasons, APU use is restricted to:

10 min prior to scheduled start-up time.

Alternative means Not available:

80 minutes with MTOW 140t or above.

60 minutes with MTOW below 140t.


Departure clearance (VHF or Datalink) TOBT -15 min (SOBT-15 min if no TOBT)

• Supposed to know the current TSAT when contacting delivery.
• While reporting ready for startup, if TSAT turns out to be greater than TOBT, delivery will call back again when time gets close to TSAT.
• Do not request start-up again when put on hold (to avoid crowding the frequency).
• However monitor the frequency as TSAT may improve anytime. Be ready to start when delivery calls back other wise the flight will be blocked.
• If in doubt (when no call comes from Delivery) then contact the "Handler or Operations" to confirm current TSAT.
• If time gets later than TSAT then it is OK to call "Delivery".

Datalink Departure Clearance:

ti 10 min before start-up time
tt 3 min before start-up time
t1 10 min

Departure Procedure in Non-Sequenced Mode:

Communicating off-block time:

In case of PDS (Pre-Departure Sequencing) failure, non-sequenced mode will be used.

A departure procedure of same type is manually applied.

ED (TOBT) are still to be updated by airlines, as well as EOBT in relation to those ED.

The pilot will call the ATS unit at TOBT-15 min.

ATS unit will calculate an off-block time and confirm it to the pilot.

ATS calculated off-block time is equal to:

- For a non-regulated flight: EOBT of flight plan.

- For a regulated flight: COBT (calculated off-block time = CTOT - local default taxiing time).


Pilot shall contact Clearance Delivery or perform RCD to request Departure Clearance at TOBT-15.

ATC will give Departure Clearance and will ask the pilot to call back when fully ready to depart.

If reporting ready close to the flight's ATC off-block time: Delivery will hand over to Ground or Apron for start-up.

If reporting ready not close to the flight's ATC off-block time: Delivery will reply that it will call back when time is close. Keep monitoring the frequency in the meantime.

If reporting ready too early than the flight's ATC off-block time: Delivery will ask to call again at TOBT-15 min.

The call or RCD has to ensure that departure will occur at EOBT+/-15 min or before COBT+10 min.

Incase of non-compliance, flight will be blocked until flight plan is updated.


Push-back/off-block departure at EOBT+/-15 or before COBT+10 if regulated.

Incase of non-compliance, the flight will be blocked and whole procedure will have to be repeated.


Push-Back clearance valid for 1 minute.


Transponder ON / TCAS OFF (with ATC assigned Mode A code) from request for push-back or taxi, whichever is earlier (basically before any a/c movement).

Other cases of taxiing A/C, set Mode A code 2000.


Twy E Max 20 kts


• Request via Flight Data (Cpt) Frequency (Chart 20-9).
• Control unit assigns the frequency and name of de-icing pad.
• While entering the de-ice pad, if line of Red flush lights is switched on then access prohibited (permitted when lights are off).
• Stop at the switched on (3 yellow build in lights) de-icing holding point.
• After de-icing checklist to be done after exiting the de-ice pad. Report time required for this checklist to the assigned "pad exit ground frequency".

Noise Abatement:

• 1900 ft - Thrust reduction to max climb power.
• 3400 ft - Normal climb power, accelerate and clean up.


Jeppesen - EMERGENCY - State Rules and Procedures - France (11 OCT 2013)

PARIS TMA - Paris (Charles-de-Gaulle)

Standard European Procedures, supplemented by the following:


• The IAF is the published approach procedure reference point (to be notified in the flight plan) instead of the designated navigational aid.

• Follow the authorized arrival route. In case of radar guidance, proceed to the initial STAR.

• Observe the published flight level and speed requirements.

• Proceed to the IAF at the last assigned and acknowledged flight level, if this level is available in the holding pattern, otherwise the highest level in the holding.

• Stay in the holding at this level until the latest time of the following:

    => EAT

    => Arrival time in the holding pattern plus 10 minutes

• Then descent in holding pattern to the specified level for beginning the initial approach.

• Leave the IAF at this level to perform the known or estimated approach procedure until landing.

• Comply with the specific procedures published if any:

    => Missed Approach with COMM Failure (on Approach Charts)

• If unable to land at the airport of destination for any reason, the pilot shall leave TMA within 30 minutes and try to reach VMC applying appropriate procedure described under “TMA LEAVING PROCEDURE” (Jeppesen - EMERGENCY - State Rules and Procedures - France)

Departure Procedure

• Comply with the specific procedures published if any.

• Adhere to the departure route and the assigned levels until the specified point on the respective SID.

• Specified points on SIDs for Paris (Charles-de-Gaulle) are: 28 DME ‘PGS’ or ‘CGN’ (40 DME 'OL' for conventional SIDs).

• After the specified points, continue the flight in accordance with the current flight plan.
