LIMC/MXP ARRIVAL

Speed restrictions:

• 270 Kt at or below FL250 with area defined by point mentiioned on chart 10-1P5
• 230 at or below FL100
• 210 at VERCE/RIGON or at 20nm from TDZ on straight in RWY 35L/R
• 180 at 9 nm from TDZ
• 160 at 5 nm from TDZ

Circuit Direction:

Right Hand Circuit for Rwy 35L and 35R

Contact with MALPENSA Tower:

Report distance on first contact at finals.

Reverse Thrust:

At power higher than idle only permitted for safety or operational reasons

Vacating the Runway:

Plan to vacate runway not beyond the TWYs mentioned on 10-1P5

Transponder:

Transponder ON / TCAS OFF until fully parked (with ATC assigned Mode A code).

Other cases, on Movement Area set Mode A code 1000

Taxi Routing:

See 10-1P6

Radio Failure on Manoeuvering Area:

After vacating runway and sensitive areas on appropriate taxiway, hold position and wait for follow me.

Preferential Taxiways:

West Apron: TWY W (IN to enter apron)

North Apron: Apron Twy A and B (IN to enter apron)

APU:

Shutdown APU after arrival. If GPU not avaialble then shutdown 20 min after arrival.

Stand Number:

• PIA: 501, 505, 509/510 at Terminal 1 (If someone has experienced something else then let me know or post it in this forum)

• Others: Let me know or post it in this forum


LIMC/MXP DEPARTURE

A-CDM:

Update TOBT (Target Off Blocks Time) when expected to change by +/- 5 minutes.

If not ready (i.e. doors closed, aero-bridge removed, push-back vehicle available) by TOBT, it is cancelled.

TSAT (Target Start-up Approval Time) is issued at TOBT-40 minutes.

TSAT (as for TOBT) is also updated for changes of +/-5minutes.

In case of TOBT cancellation, TSAT is cancelled too.

Ask delivery for start-up authorization and clearance within TSAT +/- 5 minutes.

Push-back/taxi approval must be requested not later than 5 minutes after start-up authorization and start-up clearance (ASAT) and it shall start within 2 minutes from ASAT.

APU:

Start APU 5 min before STD (only for engine start), If GPU not avaialble then 60 min before STD.

Delivery:

Contact delivery for Preflight Data, ATC and Startup Clearance.

Request start-up clearance 5 min before ready to start engines (everything completed).

Ground Frequency:

Taxi or Push-back clearance.

De-Icing:

Request to De-Icing provider through ramp agent attending the flight.

At startup pilot will report to tower, to have agreed upon previously De-Icing operarions.

De-Icing area details on chart 10-1P10

Transponder:

Transponder ON / TCAS OFF (with ATC assigned Mode A code) from request for push-back or taxi, whichever is earlier (basically before any a/c movement).

Other cases, on Movement Area set Mode A code 1000

Preferential Taxiways:

West Apron: Apron TWY K and Y (OUT to exit apron)

North Apron: Apron Twy C (OUT to exit apron)

Taxi Routing:

See 10-1P10 and 10-1P11

Radio Failure on Manoeuvering Area:

Taxi to the clearance limit and wait for follow me.

Noise Abatement:

NADP-A (1500 thrust, 3000 Accelerate and Cleanup)

For Rwy 17L/R noise abatement procedures shall be applied until passing 4000 feet. Max rate of climb till 5000 feet.


COMM FAILURE

Arrival

• Standard European Procedures.

• Designated Navigational Radio Aids in IMC for Milan (Malpensa):

    => NDB ‘NOV’ to get via NDB/VOR 'VOG' or Lctr/VOR 'SRN'.

    => In case of NDB 'NOV' u/s designated fix for descent is VERCE or RIGON according to planned arrival route
